surprise 40th party

Someone got into Janis' home and 'borrowed' this photo of her at 17 months old and put it in their local newspaper!! Her friend took her out for lunch on Sunday...40+ friends were waiting at her home when she 'came home to pick up the kids to take them to a movie'...oh sure!! It was an excellent party....she's still trying to figure out who put the ad in the paper...and it was NOT me.

I babysat my first grandchild from age 6mo. - 16 months old... (you KNOW we bonded!)...and was going thru old photos and found this one of her taking off down the hallway of the condo complex...she will be 9 years old this year.... she once said "WHY do you love me so much?"

I met China (her first name) while helping Marilyn with a beginner's knitting class..China was my student. What a woman she is! Some of her murals are hanging at KnottyByNature ..I think.

Buddy Holly 50th Anniversary supper-show

What a fun fun evening we had tonight at the Blethering Place..supper/show for the BuddyHolly 50th Anniversary Tribute... the songs took me back to places in my past that I had forgotten about..good memories for sure. It's still on Saturday and Sunday for anyone living in Victoria reading this!!
Tomorrow Karyn goes to New York City to see the new Broadway plays...that is a yearly holiday for her.
Christopher, my 6yr old grandson, left a message on the ans.machine "Can I come for a sleepover soon?".....when does Grammer have time!?
